Flush windows offer a clean, elegant design, with the sash sitting level within the frame when closed to create a smooth, seamless appearance from the outside.

If you are a homeowner who appreciates the look of traditional timber windows but would prefer the performance, energy efficiency, and low maintenance benefits of modern materials, these windows are the ideal choice.

Flush windows can also be installed in Bay and Bow windows, while bespoke designs can include arch or circular frames to suit individual property styles. Every window is fitted with multi-point locking systems and is manufactured to meet PAS 24 security standards, providing enhanced peace of mind.

Flush windows with a mechanical joint

Our uPVC flush windows are available with either a mechanical joint or a welded joint.

Mechanical joints closely resemble the authentic look of a timber window, whilst welded joints are often used in modern designs. Both offer the same strength, security, and thermal efficiency.

The overall aesthetic depends on your preference for style. If your home is a listed property, or is in a conservation area, we would recommend that you contact your local planning authority, to request permission to replace old wooden windows with modern uPVC windows.

Thermally efficient flush windows

Our uPVC flush windows are double glazed and are fitted with a high specification bubble gasket, for the ultimate in weather performance. This enables the windows to achieve a low U-Value of just 1.2 W/m²K, to help keep your home warm and your energy bills lower.

Each of our windows is made bespoke, allowing you the freedom to choose whether you would like a window which opens to the side or opens outwards at the top. Designs can include a Georgian bar to create a classic, symmetrical aesthetic.

What colour windows look good?

Deciding on the best colour windows for your home is a personal choice. White is classical and timeless, and you can choose between a Smooth White or a White Woodgrain finish.

Contemporary colours such as Black, Grey and Agate Grey are often considered for modern refurbishment properties or new builds, however, they look equally at home in traditional houses or houses with a modern render or stone finish.

On the inside, our flush windows are White and feature a decorative sculptured detail.

What is the difference between a flush windows and casement windows?

Flush windows have a sash which sits flush with the external frame, whereas a typical casement window will have a traditional ‘lip’ on the outside. At Chiltern Doors, we can install either design in your property.
